Why Stay With Us

Harpers Ferry is rich in history and surrounded by a variety of activities. During the Civil War, soldiers marched towards Antietam to fight for equality and a unified country. Today, this area offers historical tours, water sports, wineries, breweries, and multiple access points to the Appalachian Trail. The particular area of Harpers Ferry is truly enchanting. When we discovered its misty mountains, we were captivated by its solitude and beauty, all within an hour's drive from Washington, DC, and only 30 minutes from Northern Virginia. Shannondale Lake has welcomed its share of DC elites to its sandy shore. Over the years, the lake has transformed from a private, invitation-only retreat to what you see now - a fully functioning lake with water sports rentals, a sandy beach, and year-round restaurant and bar service. Whether you're here on your own to rest, work, or relax, for winery tours, to visit historic battlefields and towns, celebrate a special occasion, or to spend quality time with friends, family, or loved ones, you will not be disappointed.

“We loved the big living room, the nuce touches like cery soft throw-blankets, and the great light! The beds are very comfortable! Beautiful new bathroom! The big fenced-in yard was great for our dogs.”

“We enjoyed our stay here, it was perfect for a cozy low-key weekend. We slept great in the beds and the couch was definitely older but that made it very comfortable! We loved the fenced in yard for our dog.”
